From a Record Label to a Distribution Platform
It started in 2017 when we founded Telescope Records in Jorhat, Assam, a grassroots music label built to give talented artists from Northeast India a real stage. We signed artists, produced records, and navigated every part of the music industry, from studio production and royalty collection to pitching tracks to streaming platforms.
That experience revealed a hard truth: getting music out is harder than making it. Independent artists faced steep distribution fees, opaque royalty systems, and slow payments on platforms that simply weren't built for them.
So in 2023, after six years of running a label, we launched DoorBeen, a digital music distribution platform developed by Telescope Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the parent company behind Telescope Records. The name is the Hindi word for telescope, carrying our original vision forward: helping artists see far into their musical future.
Today we work with over 118 artists across Northeast India and are expanding into broader India and Southeast Asia, backed by nearly a decade of industry experience.
